After sacrificing his Star Courier and narrowly escaping the clutches of another Omegan Raider on the planet Cygni Alpha Six, Terrik obliges the stranded soldier they found and return him to the United Terran Military.

Expecting to be summarily dismissed, Terrik and his crew are surprised to find themselves being invited aboard to meet with senior intelligence and command staff aboard the supercarrier U.C.S. Acheron.

There, they learn that the attack on Cygni Alpha Six is anything but an isolated event, and a fateful choice lays before Terrik. His
decision will cost him dearly.
